News Flash! Mr. & Mrs. Claus will be visiting neighborhoods in Loudonville on Saturday, December 19th. A cooperative effort between the GLA and the SRLFD, fire trucks will be visiting designated streets, traveling slowly with lights and intermittent sirens sounding so Santa and the crew can wave, greet, and give happy holiday wishes.
Jonathan Schroll, Chief, SRLFD, added “We are excited to partner with GLA to escort Mr. and Mrs. Claus through Loudonville on our shiny red fire trucks for the very first time. We look forward to seeing you all soon!”
GLA volunteers Peg and Leon Hovish will play Mr. and Mrs. Claus and SRLFD will have 2nd Santa, courtesy of a volunteer firefighter.

NEW! Loudonville Lights Photo Contest
The hamlet of Loudonville boasts many historic and elegant homes, and the coming holiday season brings the annual opportunity to enhance them with creative lighting displays. If stringing up the holiday lights every year is a proud family tradition in your home, the Greater Loudonville Association would like to highlight your hard work, while also maintaining safe distancing. This year we are introducing our Loudonville Lights contest! If your home is in Loudonville, Menands or Newtonville, you are eligible to participate in a competition for the best light display, with the top three homes each receiving $50 gift cards from Rissoto
in Loudon Plaza (thank you to owner Dave Camacho). Please send a digital photograph of your decorated home to GLA committee member Chris Wessell at chris.wessell@gmail.com between now and December 26th. From December 27th to January 2nd, a slideshow of all submissions will be on the GLA Facebook page and will include the ability for anyone (regardless of where they reside) to vote on the entries, so when it goes up please share with family and friends. Help us to spread some cheer with this "virtual tour" of Loudonville's finest displays of holiday spirit!
